Frequently Asked Questions

Individual sessions are $158.20. My practice is private pay, payment is due at the time of each session, and I provide a receipt you can submit directly to your insurance provider or benefits plan.

Many extended health benefits plans, whether through a parent, a partner, or your own coverage, include some psychotherapy coverage. The term to look for is “Registered Psychotherapist” or “RP,” since that’s my regulated designation. Coverage amounts and annual limits vary a lot by plan, it’s worth checking your specific policy before your first session so there are no surprises

The free consultation is a short, no-pressure conversation, usually 15 to 20 minutes, either by phone or video. It’s a chance for me to introduce myself a bit, allow you to ask any questions, tell me a bit about what’s going on, and get a feel for whether this seems like the right fit. There’s no obligation to book a full session afterward.

Please use my contact page (see below) to reach out for a consultation. We can then get you set up to book your own sessions through the Jane App. Jane is an online booking and billing tool that we can use to book times together, but it will also allow you to book or reschedule online yourself.

I offer in-person sessions in Peterborough, and online or phone sessions for clients anywhere in Ontario. Whichever fits your schedule and your comfort level is fine, and you’re welcome to switch between the two as needed.

There’s no fixed timeline. Some clients work with me intensively for a defined period, others check in periodically over a longer stretch. What matters is that the work is actually working, not hitting a specific number of sessions.
