Therapy is a second career for me. My first career was focused on youth and young adults, building a positive community while teaching leadership development, mentoring and a positive mindset.
After 20 years of this work, I returned to school and completed my Master’s degree and am now a Registered Psychotherapist working with men, women and youth.
I began my therapy career working in an addiction centre, helping clients through substance and behavioural addictions as well as the many contributing factors such as past trauma, relational struggles, anxiety, depression and much more.
After two years at the centre, I started my own practice where much of my work focused on First Responders experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Throughout this time I continued to work with youth and young adults, exploring issues such as anxiety, depression, substance use and “adulting”.
I’m honoured to work with clients of all ages to unpack unhelpful ways of thinking, release the past and begin building positive perspectives that result in resiliency and hope.
